Independent market research consultancy Mintel has predicted in its Beauty Global Trends 2018 report that the Beauty industry's traditional criteria for targeting consumers based on their age, gender and skin type will end.
According to Mintel, consumers in the beauty industry are making their own rules and are increasingly looking to personalize products.They are eager to see their values reflected in the products they buy and the brands and companies they support, and brand personalization will become critical.
Mintel specifically stressed that in the future, the beauty industry will have to address the individual needs of consumers, and there are already a number of brands that have made a difference.
